Larry Norton Named to Campaign Finance Review Panel in Maryland

BALTIMORE—Womble Carlyle political law attorney Larry Norton has been named to a bipartisan blue ribbon panel charged with examining and recommending changes in Maryland’s campaign finance laws.

The 12-member task force was appointed by Maryland Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler. The panel is expected to deliver a report by the end of the year.

In addition to Norton, other panel members are State Senators Jamie Raskin and Allan Kittleman; State Delegates Ronald A. George and Jay Walker; Carville Collins of DLA Piper U.S. LLP; Robert B. Ostrum, counsel for the Republican State Central Committee; Bruce Marcus, counsel for the Democratic State Central Committee; Ross Goldstein, deputy administrator of the Maryland Board of Elections; Jared DeMarinis, director of the Candidacy and Campaign Finance Division of the Maryland Board of Elections; Chief Deputy Attorney General Katherine Winfree; and Deputy Attorney General John B. Howard Jr.
